Meir Statman is the Glenn Klimek Professor of Finance at Santa Clara University. His research focuses on behavioral finance. He attempts to understand how investors make financial decisions and how these decisions are reflected in financial markets.
Several weeks ago, we sat down with Meir to have a conversation about his journey from standard finance to the first and second generations of behavioral finance.
In this session, Meir covers the biases and cognitive errors that investors are most prone to, and will offer advisors some tools and tips in helping their clients become more aware – and perhaps overcome – these biases along their investment journey.
